WHAT: Womens’ lacrosse is one of the fastest growing sports in the United States. With similar game aspects to basketball, soccer, and hockey, lacrosse is a fast paced, team oriented sport that provides excellent cross training for multi-sport athletes and has minimal equipment cost. Womens lacrosse is a collegiate sport at over 500 institutions across the United States.
WHO: This first-year team will represent Leo High School, however, all players interested in playing lacrosse who do not have a team at their school are invited to play.
WHEN: Winter - Practices/strength training 2-3 times a week for (1-2 hours); Spring - Practices 4 times a week (1-2 hours) with weekly games; Summer and Fall - Practice once a week (1-2 hours) with occasional tournaments and games.
WHERE: Practices will be held at Strike Zone (Indoor), Crossview Church or Concordia Seminary. Home games will be played at Concordia Seminary. The team does travel to play other teams in the state.
